New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA) Awards

The New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA) is a state chapter of the National School Public Relations Association, nationally recognized for its efforts on behalf of school public relations professionals. With members representing school districts, BOCES and independent PR agencies throughout New York State, NYSPRA is dedicated to the development and dissemination of educational communications that engage parents, staff, community residents, partners in education and other stakeholders.

Each year, NYSPRA presents its Annual Communications Contest Awards, a statewide contest to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievement in educational communications. All public and private schools and education organizations, as well as private businesses serving as business partners, are eligible to enter. Awards are given according to the type of communication vehicle and the type and size of the district/organization. Each entry is judged on the overall excellence of the entry as well as its quality compared to other entries in the category. Possible honors include Awards of Excellence, the highest level of recognition; Awards of Honor, the second place level of recognition; and Awards of Merit, the third place level of recognition.
