Let's Chalk About Mental Health

Student drawing with chalk

On May 29, students in the OHM BOCES Bridges program spent time writing messages of hope outside on the sidewalks in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. The purpose of the activity was to normalize conversations about mental health and remind vulnerable people that they are not alone.

Social worker Kara Polovick helped to bring the idea to the OHM BOCES for the first time this year and the students and staff had a great time creating colorful and inspirational chalk messages and artwork for all to enjoy.
