The sports and extracurricular activity program is extensive and is noted in central New York for its success. A full complement of interscholastic teams, intramural activities and co-curricular clubs are available. Numerous athletic teams qualify for state scholar-athlete awards annually.
The music and art programs in the school system are very successful and provide excellent opportunities for all students UPK-12. Performing arts opportunities are offered in band, chorus, orchestra and drama. The District has been named as one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for five consecutive years (2017-2021).
The District is currently undergoing a $10 million Capital Project to improve security, safety and infrastructure, and is in the planning stages of ongoing projects that would occur over the next three to five years. Recent improvements have also been made to the technology infrastructure to support the use of Chromebooks and laptops by every student in grades 3 through 12.
