Holland Patent Central School District

The educational program of the Holland Patent Central School District is rich in opportunities for everyone to succeed.

The District is comprised of 121 instructional staff, 109 support staff and 10 administrators. The District is organized as one UPK-2 building, a 3-5 building, a 6-8 middle school and a 9-12 high school. Approximately 1,420 pupils attend school at Holland Patent.

The District provides a comprehensive guidance program, including three guidance counselors and four social workers, who serve the District in grades UPK-12.

Learning opportunities exist for advanced students with options including Advanced Placement courses and enrichment courses via a distance learning network.

Holland Patent has a comprehensive special education and academic intervention service program. Academic support is provided during school hours, after school, Saturdays and through a variety of summer programs. Among graduating seniors, 90%+ go on to post-secondary education.

The sports and extracurricular activity program is extensive and is noted in central New York for its success. A full complement of interscholastic teams, intramural activities and co-curricular clubs are available. Numerous athletic teams qualify for state scholar-athlete awards annually.

The music and art programs in the school system are very successful and provide excellent opportunities for all students UPK-12. Performing arts opportunities are offered in band, chorus, orchestra and drama. The District has been named as one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for five consecutive years (2017-2021).

The District is currently undergoing a $10 million Capital Project to improve security, safety and infrastructure, and is in the planning stages of ongoing projects that would occur over the next three to five years. Recent improvements have also been made to the technology infrastructure to support the use of Chromebooks and laptops by every student in grades 3 through 12.
