Personal Finance Summer Session Available for Grades 5-8 Educators
This hands on professional learning session prepares educators to transition their instruction to meet the newly enacted March 2026 NYSED Personal Finance Learning Objectives. Participants will dissect a crosswalk between the 2023 Financial and Consumer Literacy Theme Module and the new 2026 learning objectives, analyze instructional gaps, evaluate modern curriculum resources, and preview Project-based Learning (PBL) ideas.

What is NY Inspires?
NY Inspires is a comprehensive, five-year plan launched by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to fundamentally transform public education. Informed by the recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures, the initiative aims to ensure educational excellence and equity by shifting the focus from standardized testing to a holistic demonstration of student achievement.
