Regional Summer School Registration

  • Registration will open on June 1, 2026 @ 8:00 a.m.
     
  • Registration will continue to be through SchoolTool - directions will follow through email
     
  • Registration deadlines:
    • Elementary - June 26 @ 4:00 p.m.
    • Middle School - June 26 @ 4:00 p.m.
    • High School - June 29 @ 4:00 p.m.

Elementary Summer School and Kindergarten Readiness

Registration

Elementary Course Selection is the grade level student will be in the following September.

  • Focus will be on English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics
  • Social emotional learning components will be incorporated into program
  • Students will receive a progress notice at the end of the program

Driver Education

Details

  • Instructional times and driving times will be determined at the start of the program by the driving instructors in conjunction with registered students and their families.
     
  • Driver Education students must be 16 or older and produce a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit. The school district is responsible for securing this information and must send copies to OHM BOCES prior to the first day of instruction. Students will not be able to start this program until a driver's license or permit has been sent to OHM BOCES.
     
  • Only students from participating school districts may register:
    • Holland Patent
    • Waterville
    • Clinton
    • Oriskany
    • Brookfield
    • New York Mills
    • Remsen
    • Westmoreland

Requirements to successfully complete Driver Education are as follows:

  • 24 Hours of Classroom Driver Ed Instruction (no more than 90 mins creditable per day)
  • 24 Hours of Driving Instruction (minimum of 6 hours directly behind the wheel instruction; 18 hours of observation time, learning and observing from the backseat; no more than 90 minutes creditable per day).
  • Demonstration of Learning through successfully completing Unit Quizzes and a Final Exam
     
  • Based on these requirements, the Course is organized as such:
    • 16 Classroom Lessons of 90 minutes each
    • 16 Driving Instruction Lessons of 90 minutes each (maximum of 4 students in the DE vehicle)
    • Typically--but not necessarily-- students complete 1 Classroom Lesson and 1 Driving Lesson on the same day (3-hour commitment for 16 days)

Regional Summer School Grading

Final grades will be based upon a grade recorded after the first marking, a grade recorded after the second marking period and a final exam grade.

Marking Periods will be as follows:

  • Marking Period 1: 7/07/26 - 7/24/26 (unlock date: 7/22, lock date: 7/27, report cards mailed to the school districts: 7/30/26)
  • Marking Period 2: 7/27/26 - 8/13/26 (unlock date: 8/12, lock date: 8/17, report cards mailed to school districts and families: on or about 8/24/26)
