Locations, Dates, Times, & Additional Info

High School / Middle School (Grades 6-12)

The 2026 Regional Summer School Program will be offered in person to students in Grades 6-12 for academic remediation, credit recovery, and driver education.

  • Locations:

    • Grades 9-12:
      • Sauquoit Valley High School (2601 Oneida St., Sauquoit, NY 13456)
    • Grades 6-8:
      • Sauquoit Valley Middle School (2648 Sulphur Springs Rd., Sauquoit, NY 13456)
         

  • Courses:

    • Allowable number of HS and MS course/tutorial/exam selections:
      • HS (Grades 9-12) may register for: up to 2 direct instruction courses OR 1 direct instruction & up to 2 PLATO courses OR up to 4 PLATO only courses.
      • MS (Grades 6-8) may register for: up to 2 direct instruction courses OR 1 direct instruction & up to 2 PLATO courses.

  • Dates for Grades 6-12 Courses: July 6, 2026 – August 13, 2026 (24 days)

    • Courses will run: 
      • July 6 - August 13, Monday – Thursday each week
         
Periods Grades 9-12: Sauquoit Valley High School Grades 6-8: Sauquoit Valley Middle School
Period 1 8:00 - 9:50 a.m. 8:15 - 10:05 a.m.
Period 2 10:00 - 11:50 a.m. 10:10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

  • Tutorials for Regents Exams: July 29, 2026 – August 13, 2026 (10 days)

    • Tutorials will run: 
      • Wednesday & Thursday (week 1)
      • Monday - Thursday (weeks 2 and 3)
    • Times:  12:00 - 2:00 p.m. for the 10-day period.
    • May register for:  up to 2 direct instruction tutorials.
       

  • Regents Exams

    • Given: Tuesday, August 18 and Wednesday, August 19 (see "Link to Regents Exam Schedule" below).
    • May register for: up to 4 Regents Exams.
    • Please register for all exams, even those associated with a course or tutorial.

Driver Education

Driver Education will be made available to interested students from participating school districts.
 

  • Monday, July 6, 2026 - Friday, August 20, 2026
     
  • Times: Instructional times and driving times will be determined at the start of the program by the driving instructors in conjunction with registered students and their families.  
     
  • Participating school districts:
    • Brookfield, Clinton, Holland Patent, New York Mills, Oriskany, Remsen, Waterville, Westmoreland.
    • Only students from participating school districts may register.
       
  • Driver Education students must be 16 or older and produce a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit.
    • The school district is responsible for securing this information and must send copies to OHM BOCES prior to the first day of instruction.  Students will not be able to start this program until a driver's license or permit has been sent to OHM BOCES.

Elementary Summer School and Kindergarten Readiness

The Elementary Summer School Program will be offered in person to students in grades K-6 for academic remediation. The program will focus on English Language Arts and Mathematics. Will continue to infuse SEL components into the program.

Elementary course selection is the grade level student will be in the following September.

    • Whitesboro Central School District (Hart's Hill Elementary)
       
  • Dates:
    • Monday, July 13, 2026 – Thursday, August 6, 2026 (16 days)
      • ES program will run: 4 days per week:  Monday – Thursday.
         
  • Times:
    • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
       
  • Participating school districts:  
    • New York Mills UFSD
    • Whitesboro CSD
       
  • Students will receive a progress notice at the end of the program.
