Ms. Shayla McMath

Ms. Shayla McMath joined the OHM BOCES Career and Technical Education Center as Early Childhood Education teacher in 2024. Prior to joining BOCES, she worked as a YMCA Site Supervisor for an elementary school and as a preschool teacher for a local Children's Center.

Ms. McMath is working on her degree in Early Childhood Education at Herkimer College. She holds certifications in both First Aid and CPR.

Ms. McMath has years of experience with students that are just entering the classroom. She is always willing to learn, grow and evolve as part of being a teacher and an overall human being. Her favorite part of the job is the connections with the students that form over doing something that we commonly love. It's a choice for them to be here, so seeing them excel at something they're passionate about is amazing and so rewarding!

In her free time, Ms. McMath likes playing basketball and practicing yoga.
