Registering Students

Registering Students for Career & Technical Ed. Programs

Use forms to obtain parent/guardian permission and/or to aid in registration process.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

• Supply HARDCOPY of the following documents when applicable:

  • IEP or 504 Plan (send by end of this school year)
  • Medical Record (send by end of this school year)
  • New Visions Packet (send by March 27, 2026)

• Send hardcopy through the courier to OHM BOCES CTE Main Office (IEP/Medical Record) and/or OHM BOCES CTE Guidance Office (New Visions Application Form and Packet)

Students Continuing to Second Year of Two-Year Program

Students passing their first year of a two-year program will be rolled into the second year of their program (ex., Advertising Design I studentswill be rolled into Advertising Design II).

CTE will provide districts with lists of these students. Districts will return the filled out lists to CTE by March 27, 2026.

  • Districts will indicate who will return or who will not return to the second year of program, as well as if student has an IEP, 504 Plan and/or is ELL.
  • Please send an updated copy of IEPs/504 Plans for all returning students.

SchoolTool Transfer or Non-SchoolTool Online Registration

REGISTER ALL STUDENTS FOR:

  • One-year programs (Animal Science, Health Careers Exploration, Nursing Assistant, MiTech 9, MiTech 10)
  • Occupational programs (Food Service, Multi-Occupations, Trades Exploration - Note: register students for these programs annually)
  • First year of two-year program
  • New Visions
  • Students changing programs

Registration for New Visions Students – Monday, March 2 – Friday, March 27, 2026:

  • Register students using the SchoolTool Transfer or Non-SchoolTool Online Registration.
  • Download New Visions Application Form found at www.oneida-boces.org/cteregistration, fill out form, attach student’s NV packet and send to OHM BOCES CTE Guidance Office by March 27, 2026 for review.
  • CTE will send verification lists to counselors and New Visions Acceptance/Non-acceptance Letters to students

Registration for all regular CTE students EXCEPT students returning to second year of two-year program – opens Monday, March 16, 2026:

  • Periodically, CTE will send out verification lists of your students and the programs they have requested. Note: It is assumed that students who sign up for two-year programs will be with us for both years; students will automatically be registered for both levels of the program. If a student withdraws from a two-year program, please email the CTE counselor with the request to withdraw.

Please resubmit student registration if there are any changes from prior registration, including for any student registered for a program who decides to attend a different program (ex., they signed up for Culinary Arts in April but change their mind before the end of the year and want to take Auto Body).

  • After re-registering a student, please email the student’s CTE counselor notifying her of the changes.
  • If multiple registrations are submitted for a student, the most recent will be used as the official registration and older registrations will be deleted.

It is important to us that we streamline this process for your benefit and that all students who chose our programs are placed accurately and in a timely fashion. As in the past, we will keep you posted about courses that are filling up fast and continue to work toward placing students in programs that will meet their graduation goals.
