Conservation

The Conservation program emphasizes the skills and knowledge required for success in the many conservation-related careers. The course is a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on outdoor learning, with the importance of a favorable work ethic stressed. Students acquire skills in forestry, fish and wildlife management; heavy equipment operation; timber harvesting; chainsaw operation and maintenance; tree climbing; map and compass; GPS; surveying and more. In our greenhouse, students become skilled in hydroponics, aquaculture and plant propagation.
