Teacher Center

  • New York State Resource and Computer Training Centers (commonly called "Teacher Centers") are the largest professional learning communities in New York State. One hundred twenty-six Teachers Centers are located throughout the state, working with 675 public school districts and nearly 1,000 non-public and charter schools. 

    New York State Teacher Centers are:

    • operated locally, with regional and statewide network support
    • governed by policy boards composed of 51% teachers as well as representation by administrators, school board members, parents, higher education, and business professionals
    • driven by local educator needs, including implementation support for NYS and federal education initiatives
    • dedicated to high quality, job-embedded and student-focused professional learning experiences

  • The Center State Teacher Center office is located within the Career and Technology Education Center at the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES (4747 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford). Director Janet Jury can be best reached by email at jjury@oneida-boces.org.

    The Center State Teacher Center collaborates with the OHM BOCES Program and Professional Learning department, component districts, other area teacher centers, area institutions of higher learning and industry leaders to meet the professional development needs of our constituents.
