Ms. Sara Ouellette

Ms. Sara Ouellette joined the OHM BOCES Career and Technical Education Center as a MiTech (Modules of Integrated Technologies) teacher in 2020.

Prior to joining BOCES, Ms. Ouellette taught both agriculture and special education courses, and worked on numerous farms. She holds an Associate of Science in liberal arts and science general studies, a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in agriculture education. Ms. Ouellette is New York state certified to teach grade 7-12 ELA, students with disabilities, and all grade levels of agriculture.

Ms. Ouellette was awarded the Genesis Group Award for an Outstanding Veterinary Science Program in 2016, the FFA Pride Award from the Vernon Verona Sherrill FFA Organization in 2011 and the FFA American Degree (the highest degree achievable to FFA members) in 2009.

Ms. Ouellette’s compassion for her students, patience and strong work ethic make her a great teacher. She says that the best part of her job is watching students grow and be successful.

In her free time, Ms. Ouellette volunteers with organizations that are local to her hometown, specifically assisting the VFW with placing flags on veterans’ graves, cooking for church fundraisers, and biking in an annual bikeathon to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and on her small hobby farm caring for an array of animals.
