NYS Dignity for All Students Act Course
This six-hour course (three hours online and three hours in person) is delivered by BOCES Safety Office staff and legal professionals who are approved by the State Education Department to provide this training to meet the certification requirements for school professionals seeking licensure, certification or re-certification. Individuals will learn the history that prompted the legislation and the basic tenants of the mandate; policies and codes of conduct, staff training, student instruction, and reporting and response. The course also reviews risk and protective factors, profiles of those who bully and their victims as well as alternatives to progressive discipline in creating culture and climate reform.Cost: $100.00 per participant
