Ms. Elizabeth Morat
Ms. Liz Morat joined the OHM BOCES Career and Technical Education Center as an Early Childhood Education teacher in 2010. She is a dedicated teacher, passionate about encouraging all children to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually, and prides herself on helping all students to value their own education and to work to the best of their ability.
Prior to joining BOCES, Ms. Morat worked in many areas of childcare and education, including pre-K, preschool, high school, early childhood education and childcare management, curriculum development and teacher training. She earned her degree in human services/early childhood education from Mohawk Valley Community College/SUNY.
She is devoted to helping high school students understand and implement best practices and procedures in early childhood education classrooms, and is deeply committed to providing quality, learner-centered instruction to optimize all students' success. Ms. Morat loves to observe the “connect-the-dots” moments that students have when they finally understand and recognize the importance of having high-quality early childhood education classrooms and the impact that they, as teachers, will have on the children in their care. She is always excited to share her knowledge and experience with students as they prepare to enter college and/or this very important workforce.
In her free time, Ms. Morat enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, travel and walks in nature.
