Mrs. Joanne Daley

Ms. Joanne Daley joined the OHM BOCES Career and Technical Education Center as an Animal Science/New Visions: Veterinary Science teacher in 2008.

Prior to joining BOCES, Ms. Daley was employed as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, pet sitter and emergency clinic veterinary technician. She is a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician and is certified in professional teaching, Red Cross Pet First aid and by Pet Sitters International. Ms. Daley is a member of the NYS Association of Veterinary Technicians, NY Association of Agriculture Educators, and the Association of Career and Technical Educators.

Ms. Daley earned her Associate in Applied Sciences in Veterinary Science Technology from SUNY Canton and her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural education from SUNY Oswego.

Ms. Daley loves helping students on their animal care journey – whether it be becoming better pet owners or becoming future professional animal caretakers. Her dedication to the profession, passion for the subject matter she teaches, her sense of humor and patience make her a great teacher. Ms. Daley loves her job and as of late, really enjoys putting lessons together with all of the new interactive learning platforms she has discovered.

In her free time, Ms. Daley enjoys exercising, walking/training dogs, snowmobiling, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and reading.
