Mrs. Tiffany Piatkowski

Mrs. Piatkowski is the STEM Integration Specialist and Lead Instructor for P-TECH OHM.  P-TECH is a nationally recognized program that stands for Pathways in Technology Early College High School.  P-TECH OHM offers an integrated high school and college curriculum with a focus on careers and STEM concepts providing students a hands-on education through project based learning.  Upon completion of the six year program students will receive a NYS Regents Diploma and an AAS degree from MVCC.
 
Mrs. Piatkowski attended SUNY Oswego for both her B.S. in Technology Education and M.S. in Technology Education.  She holds a Permanent K-12 New York State Teaching Certification in Technology Education and has been teaching since 2003.  Additionally, she is certified to teach the following Project Lead the Way courses: Introduction to Engineering Design, Digital Electronics, and Engineering Design and Development.
 
Mrs. Piatkowski has been at P-TECH OHM since 2015 and teaches STEM Concepts 9, Intro to Coding, STEM Concepts 10, Design and Drawing for Production, MVCC Computer Programming, and MVCC Drafting and Design Using AutoCad.  
 
Prior to working at P-TECH Mrs. Piatkowski worked at a variety of schools in Central New York teaching Technology and Engineering courses.  From 2003-2005 at Rome Free Academy she taught Computer Aided Drafting, Technical Drawing, Architectural Drawing, Design and Drawing for Production, Basic Electronics, and Transportation.  From 2005 - 2011 she worked for the Jamesville - DeWitt Central School District, where she taught PLTW IED, PLTW DE, PLTW EDD, Woodworking, Architecture, Graphic Communications, Sixth Grade Technology, and Seventh Grade Technology.  From 2011-2012 she taught Eighth Grade Technology at Poland Central School.  From 2012 to 2015 she worked in Career and Technical Education at OHM BOCES and taught STEM Academy and the New Visions Engineering Technology, Nanotechnology, and Legal Studies programs.  
 
During the summer Mrs. Piatkowski teaches summer camps at both OHM BOCES and Mohawk Valley Community College in subjects such as STEM, Drones, Coding, Nanotechnology, and Engineering.
