Mr. Colin Douglass
Mr. Colin Douglass joined the OHM BOCES Career and Technical Education Center as an Emerging Technologies and Cyber Security teacher in 2012.
Prior to joining BOCES, Mr. Douglass was employed with Premier Technologies, Madison-Oneida BOCES, the Utica City School District, and NSA’s GenCyber.
Mr. Douglass earned his Bachelor of Science in technology education from SUNY Oswego and his Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Grand Canyon University. He is certified in NYS Technology Education, Comptia IT Fundamentals, TestOut PC Pro and TestOut Network Pro. Mr. Douglass was also named as a recipient of the Observer-Dispatch Amazing Teacher Award in 2018.
Mr. Douglass enjoys working with students who are genuinely excited about learning about computing, networking and cyber security. He has his own love of learning about new technologies, sets high standards for his students and creates a sense of community within his classroom.
In his free time, Mr. Douglass enjoys tinkering with electronics, hiking, fishing, camping and woodworking.
