Education
-
The education sector comprises establishments that provide instruction and training in a wide variety of subjects. This instruction and training is provided by specialized establishments, such as pre-K-12 schools, colleges, universities and training centers. These establishments may be privately owned and operated for profit or not for profit, or they may be publicly owned and operated.
The field of Early Childhood is education for small children from birth to 5 years old. The child’s brain is rapidly growing during their first few years, making early education a key component to a child’s future success. Educational programs, such as Head Start, guide the growth and development of children throughout their preschool years. When a child enters kindergarten ready, they are more likely to graduate later in life.
