Mr. Phil Lacelle

Mr. Phil Lacelle joined the OHM BOCES Career and Technical Education Center as a Conservation teacher and FFA advisor in 2016. He has several years of experience as a professional forester working for some of the largest lumber companies on the east coast.

Prior to joining BOCES, Mr. Lacelle was employed as a forester and forestry consultant to both local and private landowners, as well as some of the area’s larger forest land management companies. While working in the industry, he brought OHM BOCES students on field trips to local sawmills and woodlots to enhance their knowledge of forestry. Mr. Lacelle earned his Bachelor of Arts in forest management and is currently working toward his master’s degree in agriculture education.

Mr. Lacelle was an OHM BOCES Conservation student in high school and credits the program with changing his life. He truly loves his job and is happy to be able to pass on the knowledge that was shared with him to his students. Mr. Lacelle connects with each student and provides them with the skills and knowledge to help them become the best people they can be.

In his free time, Mr. Lacelle volunteers as a youth hockey coach and foster parent for the House of the Good Shepherd and enjoys ice hockey, camping, hiking, boating and snowmobiling.
