The Conservation program emphasizes the skills and knowledge required for success in the many conservation-related careers. The course is a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on outdoor learning, with the importance of a favorable work ethic stressed. Students acquire skills in forestry, fish and wildlife management, heavy equipment operation, timber harvesting, chainsaw operation and maintenance, tree climbing, map and compass, GPS, surveying and more. In our greenhouse, students become skilled in hydroponics, aquaculture and plant propagation.
