    NOVELNY, is a public no-cost online information network that creates a "library without walls." NOVELNY provides a gateway for all New Yorkers to a vast array of electronic books, e-journals, full text magazines and articles as well as to the rich resources of libraries throughout the state via online catalogs, digitized collections of photographs, images, maps, manuscripts, encyclopedias, journals and other proprietary databases licensed on a statewide basis for free public access
     
     Ready to Read
     
    Ready to Read at New York Libraries is an initiative of the New York State Education Department designed to improve and expand the availability of high quality public library early learning services in local communities across the State. Through this initiative, families and caregivers will be provided with the knowledge needed to prepare their young children for their school years ahead 
     
     
    Summer Reading
     
    Summer Reading at New York Libraries is an annual program that brings children and families into local public libraries for reading and activities.
         
     
     
     Webjunction
     
     
    The State Library is partnering with OCLC to provide free access to WebJunction’s self-paced courses for all library workers, volunteers and students in New York State. The State Library has designated WebJunction as an approved provider of professional development required to maintain active New York State public librarian certification.
