How to Make a Virtual Field Trip Connection
  1. Equipment must be powered on and connected appropriately to the television via the
    S-Video Cable.
    - Screen should show the Polycom symbol, the call directory, and recent calls.
    - For step by step instructions, please see our installation guide via www.oneida-boces.org/vw/Polycom.htm
    - Oneida BOCES staff will handle all the connection arrangements prior to the day of the field trip.
  2. Scott Morris or John McGinley will make all connection arrangements. In return, we would like participating teachers to complete a program evaluation so experiences can be shared with the provider and among other teachers. Teachers can:
    - Submit an online evaluation.
    or
    - Print form (link to PDF of Eval. Form) and fax to 315-793-8554.
  3. Content providers are listed via www.oneida-boces.org\vw\DI_ContentProviders.htm. These content providers are continually being reviewed for curricular content and technological appropriateness so their experiences can be shared with the provider as well as other teaching faculty.
  4. Fill out and submit the Online Request Form
  5. Upon receipt of online request information, Oneida BOCES staff will send an email reply with the cost and connection information. If information is satisfactory, print email, have signed, then fax back to Oneida BOCES (Fax # 315-793-8554).

  1. Oneida BOCES will charge a $50.00 connection fee for all scheduled events.
