The TRIAD program is designed to
meet the needs of IEP diploma students ages 14-21 who have
dropped out of school or at risk of dropping out of school. The
program consists of four components: GED preparation for
students who may be capable of passing the GED, behavior
modification, life skills, and pre-vocational/career and
technical training. The program provides students with the
emotional, instructional, and/or behavioral support that they
require for success. All academics are individualized to allow
students to work at their own pace and their own ability level.
A focal point of the program is to provide students a smooth
transition into post-secondary programs and/or employment
through transition planning. Students may participate in the
School to Work Program
through employment and internships within the community or
school environment. In addition, the students are taught life
skills such as banking, transportation, and housing through a
combination of classroom instruction and community experiences.
The students may participate in community field trips, career
exploration, and group internships. Social worker services for
program coordination are a part of the program charge.
Individual counseling is charged separately as a related
service. |
