The Preschool Program provides a language-based intensive, full-day or half-day program for identified three- and four-year-old children. The program emphasizes opportunities for integration with non-disabled peers at St. Paul’s Preschool to provide a natural school environment. Children with disabilities receive a special education program and related services designed to develop language and other skills that will maximize their success in future school programs.

The program is provided at no cost to the district or parents. Costs incurred are supported by a combination of state and county funds through the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) process. Screenings are conducted periodically by a multi-disciplinary team. Referrals from families or agencies are accepted. However, parental involvement is necessary prior to any action to determine eligibility.
