Services of a licensed physical
therapist and physical therapy assistants are available on an
itinerant basis. The licensed physical therapist (PT) evaluates
the referred student as well as develops and supervises the
program. In addition, the PT must co-treat with the physical
therapy assistant every twelfth visit or at least once monthly.
Physical therapy assistants provide the direct service for the
student, under the clinical direction of a physical therapist.
Committee on Special Education referrals should indicate the
frequency and duration per week as appropriate to the student's
needs. This service is excess cost aidable. |
