Linda Chesebro earned an elementary teaching degree from Oswego State and taught for four years. Since that time, she has held several jobs from airline employee, to inn owner, to county caseworker.

Her professional life came full circle when she returned to the Clinton Central School District, first as an aide and currently as a teaching assistant in the media center. She enjoys the work immensely.

Linda hopes the opportunity to attend the University at Buffalo to obtain her master of library science degree will make it possible for her to work as a certified librarian in a school setting. |

Jim Cichon has been a special education teacher for 10 years. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology/child life from Utica College and his master's degree in special education/learning disabilities from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y.

Currently, Jim is pursuing a master of library science degree through the University at Buffalo. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and a program instructor in the youth program. Jim lives in New Hartford with his wife Donna and their four children. He enjoys sports, working with children, and leisure time with his family. |

Lorraine Cittadino has taught living environment and advanced placement biology at Westmoreland High School for the past six years. She has a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in inclusive education.

Before teaching at Westmoreland, she was the director of development for Catholic Charities of Oneida County. Prior to that, she served as the curator of education for the Utica Zoo. She lives in Herkimer with her husband and daughter. |

Leeann C. Dooley attended Oneonta State for two years and transferred to SUNY Stony Brook, where she received a degree in sociology. She spent the first four years of her teaching career at a large middle school in Elmhurst, Queens.

Leeann is currently teaching global studies 10 at Little Falls High School. She is working to obtain her master of library science degree through the University at Buffalo. |

Emilie Huxley, a California native, has lived in upstate New York for the past 10 years. Leaving her career as a dental assistant, she earned her teaching degree with highest honors from SUNY Oneonta. She currently teaches second grade at Barringer Road Elementary School in Ilion.

Emilie's passion for literature has inspired her students, who enjoy an extensive classroom library compiled by their teacher.

In her spare time, Emilie enjoys exploring American national parks (and their bookstores), meeting local authors and illustrators, and playing lead trumpet in a youth outreach community ensemble. |

Megan McCoy obtained her bachelor's degree at SUNY College at Oneonta in elementary education.

She currently works as a teacher's assistant at Remington Elementary in Ilion, although her main duty is "detention lady." Megan enjoys her daily contact with students and the unique opportunity she has to reach each of them.

Megan's interest in library media science comes from substituting in the library media center at Remington Elementary, as well as a desire to combine traditional and modern teaching practices. |

Melissa Cagwin-Morris has been a teacher for 13 years. She received her bachelor's degree from Russell Sage College in Troy, N.Y., and her master's degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y.

She also earned National Board Certification as an exceptional needs specialist. She currently serves as the co-chairperson of the Special Education Model Schools Committee, and has been an in-service instructor for various software programs.

Melissa has traveled abroad to Russia, Greece, Italy and Japan for educational exchanges. She lives in Herkimer with her husband Nathan and two children. She enjoys reading, Iaido, computers, traveling and playing with her children. |

Carole Rahme holds a degree in arts and science from Bois-de-Boulogne College in Montreal, Canada. She also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from SUNYIT. She currently works as a substitute teacher for various school districts and previously taught eighth grade French in the Westmoreland Central School District.

Carole looks forward to gaining more knowledge and experience in the education field. |

Tanja Tamburino attended Syracuse University where she received her bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in social studies education. She currently teaches ninth and tenth grade global history at Oriskany Central School.

She is eager to pursue studies in library science and continue her professional growth, while still playing an active role in the education process.

Tanja lives in Rome with her husband and two children. |

Tammy Wiley is a graduate of Utica College where she received her bachelor's degree in history. She continued her studies at SUNY Cortland, receiving a master's degree in education with a concentration in reading.

Currently, Tammy is a social studies teacher at Perry Junior High School in New Hartford, where she has been teaching for eight years. She previously taught social studies at Ilion Jr./Sr. High School and fourth grade in the Rome City School District.

Tammy is a life-long resident of Whitesboro, where she currently lives with her family. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, working on craft projects, gardening, and reading. |
