The Special Education Training and Resource Center (SETRC)
at Oneida BOCES is part of the New York State network of 53 resource
centers.
The SETRC network is an instructional support system organized
to train educators and distribute information to persons involved
in the education of students with disabilities. An additional
function of SETRC is to provide a support system and informational
system for the parents of students with disabilities.
SETRC assists the equal educational opportunity for all students
with disabilities by providing teachers with appropriate training,
effective instructional materials, the latest research and the
development of new teaching materials.
SETRC serves teachers, paraprofessionals, parents and students
who are involved in the education of students with disabilities.
The Center offers information through workshops and intensive
in-service programs and an extensive, specialized selection of
professional and instructional materials.
