This media resource booking services allows school staff to check availability and book materials from any touch tone phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With simple system prompts and commands, the user can proceed through the booking procedures as the system confirms each step with synthesized or recorded speech. Users can book media resources for a given request date, automatically check the next available date for a media item, check availability of alternate titles, and give the user the option of sharing a media item with another user within the same school building. |

User identification numbers, title numbers and request dates are entered simply by using the touch tone phone key pad. Also, the system allows a user to leave a brief 20 second message with the Media Library at the same time, if necessary. To find out your personal user number and to obtain your Phone Book It!
