Guaranteed Graduates!

The Oneida BOCES Career and Technical Education center has a "Guaranteed Graduates" program. Students who successfully compete a career and technical education program have more than a diploma to show prospective employers ­ they have a skills guarantee.

A skills guarantee spells out, in detail, the depth of competencies, skills and knowledge a student has gained through the career and technical education program. Information is contained in an Employability Profile that lists the level of proficiency a student has attained while in a program.

If an employer finds a new graduate of the career and technical education program not competent in an area that he or she was identified by the instructor as competent, that graduate may participate in that portion of the course at the Career and Technical Education Center at no tuition expense to the student or the employer; provided that the course of study is still available among course offerings.

Students may supply prospective employers with their Employability Profile. Employers may also request a student profile from the Placement Office by calling 793-8642.

Our Guarantee If, within the first two school years following graduation, an employer finds the graduate of an Oneida BOCES program not competent in an area that he/she was identified by the instructor as competent, then that employee may participate in that portion of the course at Oneida BOCES at no tuition expense to the student or the employer.* * Certain conditions apply.
