Nursing - Assistant

One Year Program

This course teaches students basic skills in the area of personal needs and develops the specialized skills required for patient comfort.

After learning applied theory in the classroom, students practice nursing skills in the clinical laboratory in actual role-playing situations. Students then transfer their knowledge to the work environment where they spend 6 weeks (100 clinical hours) gaining valuable experience at a local health care facility in the community.

Once students complete the class, they are eligible to take the written and performance test to become a Certified Nurse Assistant.

  • Nutrition and diet therapy

Starting Salary Range
$5.50 - $7.00 per hour
