Mechanical Science (Agricultural Mechanics)
One or Two Year Program
Agricultural Mechanics students learn to repair many types
of farm and construction equipment. Equipment repairs include:
bulldozers, backhoes, farm tractors and some smaller engines,
including both gasoline and diesel engines.
A student completing this program may work as a heavy equipment
mechanic, agricultural mechanic, parts salesperson, construction
or farm equipment operator.
Course Content
- Heavy equipment repair (construction/farm)
- Theory of internal combustion engines (gas/diesel)
- Metal and welding skills
- Agricultural business skills
- Shop management
- Diesel and gasoline engine rebuilding
Starting Salary Range
$6.50-$10.00 per hour
