Home Health Aide/Medical Office Assisting

One Year Program

The Home Health Aide/Medical Office Assisting course teaches students the skills and knowledge needed to work in the home health care area. Students learn how to assist clients with all of their personal and specialized needs, including dressing, bathing and administering medication.

Applied theory is taught in the classroom, followed by laboratory practice of all required skills. Students participate in an intensive clinical experience that lets them work with clients in acute care and assisted living environments. Over the course of the program, students spend 13 weeks in a clinical setting, for a total of 125 hours clinical experience. Those who successfully complete this program leave school prepared to work as a Home Health Aide and Medical Office Assistant.
