Electricity

One or Two Year Program

Electricians install and maintain electrical wire and equipment in homes, offices, institutions and industrial plants.

Students learn residential wiring through a variety of hands-on activities and projects. Those completing this program may find employment in electrical construction, electrical maintenance, appliance servicing, as an electrician's helper or as an electrical supplies salesperson.

With experience and further training, students may get jobs as licensed electricians, light and powerline workers or electrical contractors.

  • Motor repair
  • Low voltage wiring
  • Study of electrical systems used in residences, factories, and schools

Starting Salary Range
$7.00 - $11.00 per hour
