Desktop Publishing

One Year Program

Desktop Publishing is a one-year course that teaches students the specialized skills needed to create print-related materials such as logos, corporate images, magazines, newsletters, newspapers and brochures.

Students who successfully complete Desktop Publishing can select a second-year elective in Advertising, Drafting or word processing (Computer Information Technology) to expand their skills.

Students completing this course may find jobs at a newspaper, print shop, in-house graphic department or advertising agency. With further experience and training, a student could operate his or her own commercial art business.

• Color/black & white scanning

Starting Salary Range
$5.50 - $8.00 per hour
