Drafting, Computer Aided Design and C.N.C. Machining

One or Two Year Program

First-year students learn computer aided drafting and design (CADD.) Students create two and three dimensional drawings using software programs which include AutoCAD, Soft Plan, Mastercam and Solid Works.

Second-year students expand on their knowledge of drafting software creating more complex drawings and produce manufactured parts by programming a CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) milling machine.

All students receive extensive computer training using the latest computers, plotters and drafting software programs.

A student completing this course may find beginning employment as a drafter, CADD operator, clerk or print machine operator. Students may use their training to get a head start in post-secondary plans for continuing education at either two- or four-year colleges.
