Advertising Design & Production One or Two Year Program Advertising Design and Production offers a complete overview of all graphic arts fields including advertising design, illustration, logo and symbol design, computerized graphic design and typography. Students completing the two-year program enter the job market or college prepared with a portfolio of posters, logos, brochures, package designs, advertisements, cartoons, illustrations, airbrush renderings, silk screen prints and drawings. Each student also develops his/ her own resume and self-promotion package to aid in the job search. Careers in graphic design, advertising design, illustration and their various subdivisions are constantly growing with thousands of new jobs available each year. Course Content Advertising/marketing concepts Manual illustration/ Layout techniques Black and white photography and darkroom procedures Computer 3D Animation/ Simulation Computer graphics/ Publications Basic silk screen printing Production of posters, fliers, signs and logos, business communications Macintosh and PC computers using software packages including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Xpress and Corel Draw, Lightwave, Bryce 3D, Infini-D, Ray DREAM Designer Starting Salary Range $5.50 - $7.00 per hour
