Substitute Teacher Calling Service

Participating school district teachers and administrators can call an automated sub-calling system 24 hours per day to report absences. The automated system will fill those vacancies. Qualified substitutes are placed in schools based on an approved list of substitutes provided to the service by the school district. Districts receive daily reports of teacher absences and substitute teachers used and weekly listings of substitutes called.
If you would like to substitute for the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES, please complete and submit a BOCES employment application, available on the BOCES website. Any questions, please contact Human Resources at 315.793.8576.

Substitute Teacher Calling
Oneida BOCES will be transitioning from the SubFinder system to the Aesop sub calling system over the course of this summer. All the current information will be migrated over to Aesop and the system will be up and running by the start of the 2015 – 2016 school year.
Oneida BOCES will be offering training about the Aesop system on August 26 & 27, 2015, at Middle Settlement Road campus, in New Hartford. Training will be offered to administrators, district employees and substitutes on each of these days. Choose the appropriate method of registering for training based upon your role:
District administrators and district employees can register for training sessions using My Learning Plan
Substitutes register using a different form. Substitutes sign up for training by using the Substitute Calling Training Form
Online training resources and support for Substitutes on the the new Aesop system are also available on the Frontline Technologies Learning Center.
