Construction
Trades Does Community Service at the Utica
Boys & Girls Club
(Electricity
Program Students to Follow)
This
fall and winter, the Construction Trades
students are doing community service
at the Boys & Girls Club in Utica. The
students have been working on transforming
the club's education room into a
multi-purpose media room. Projects included
constructing a stage and building a screen.
The students also did a variety of fixes
throughout the building, including repairs
in the gym, restrooms, etc. When the
Construction Trades students finish up,
CTEC's Electricity program students will
contribute their talents to the project. |

The club's employees are impressed by the
students' work and thrilled with the
substantial savings it affords them. This is
another great example of a Win-Win situation
between BOCES CTEC and the communities in
its school districts. |
