Emerging Technologies in Communication Network Support
This one-year course teaches information technology essentials and basic computer networking. This includes installing hardware and software, end-user support, problem solving and troubleshooting. Students completing this program have the opportunity to obtain certification in A+ and N+, thereby greatly increasing their employment potential.

Emerging Technologies in Information System Security
This one-year course introduces students to the field of information system security and computer networking. It provides students with the necessary knowledge to protect themselves and their information systems. The course also describes the kinds of information system security issues faced by homes and businesses, the types of damage they may cause, and prudent security measures to counteract them. Students will learn the basic terminology involved in cyber security, describe various threats facing information systems, and identify potential security technologies to combat these threats. With today’s emerging technologies, all types of business and industry face information system security issues, making knowledge of computer security a high demand area.
