Meet the Instructor

First-year Early Childhood Education students operate a laboratory nursery school under the direction of the program’s teacher. The nursery school, located at the Career and Technical Education Center, gives students practical experience working with three-and four-year-old children.

Second-year students gain practical experience working in two 10-week internships at a local kindergarten, day-care center or special education program.

Many students go on to post-secondary schooling in a two-year human service or early childhood education program, as well as four-year educational programs.
