Cyber Security is a one-year course introducing students to the field of information system security and computer networking. This course provides students with the necessary knowledge to protect themselves and their information systems. The course also describes the kinds of information system security issues faced by home and businesses, the types of damage they may cause and prudent security measures to counteract them. Students will learn basic terminology involved in cyber security, describe various threats facing information systems, identify potential security technologies to combat these threats and learn of methods and products to protect information systems.
