This two-year course teaches information
technology essentials and basic computer networking the first
year. This includes installing hardware and software, end-user
support, problem solving and trouble shooting. During the second
year, students learn computer networking technologies,
telecommunications protocols, network support and cyber
security. Students will learn basic terminology involved in
cyber security, describe various threats facing information
systems and identify potential security technologies to combat
these threats. Students completing this program have the
opportunity to obtain certification in A+, N+ and Security+,
thereby increasing their employment potential. With today's
emerging technologies, all types of business and industry face
information system security issues, making knowledge of computer
security a high demand area. |
