Construction
Trades Students Working on Pavilion at
Clinton Firehouse
In
the fall 2006, Construction Trades
students began work on a pavilion at
the Clinton Firehouse. The pavilion is 35’ x
60’. The class laid out the placement of the
posts, participated in the drilling of the holes,
mixed concrete for the footings, placed the posts, installed the double 2” x 12” girder, and erected the roof trusses. Both Jr. and Sr. class worked on the project. In the spring,
the students plan to return to install the corrugated metal roofing and siding and build the partitions that will separate the
kitchen and cooler area. |
