Students Donate to Project Linus Mrs.
Bonsted's afternoon Career Options Program
(COPS) students made a blanket to donate to
Project Linus, a national, all-volunteer organization that provides new, handmade security blankets to children in need.
The project was lead by Teacher Assistant
Martha Adams. Students painted their hands,
pressed them on fabric squares, and then
created fish from the impressions. Students
took turns cutting fabric, ironing, and
sewing pieces together. When the quilt was
completed, students took pride in making
their donation.
