Students
in Automotive Technician Specialist learn to service and repair all the different
systems in a car, such as the electrical, exhaust, cooling, and brake systems.

Students
also learn about steering and suspension repair, computerized
engine control, wheel alignment, adjusting of brakes, and other
basic car repairs.

Those
completing this course may get an entry-level job as a brake-repairing
technician, general mechanics helper, apprentice technician,
or parts salesperson.

Many
Auto Technology graduates choose to continue their education at
trade schools or colleges.
