Meet the Instructor

The Auto Body Repair program offers students in-depth training from experienced instructors on how to correct auto damage ranging from small dents to major collisions. Students receive practical experience working on their own and customers’ cars.

Students are taught how to strip and straighten damaged metal, perform spot repairs, overall refinishing work and how to repaint a car. Metal restoration and welding techniques are also taught. On the business side, students learn how to compute labor and parts costs.

A student completing the two-year Auto Body Repair program may find employment as a body shop assistant, painter or sander and polisher.
With experience and further training, a student may find employment as a collision service worker, welder, insurance adjuster, parts manager, automotive painter or shop owner.
